Sword Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the Predict team, which focuses on building a platform to forecast healthcare trends and guide individuals toward conservative, AI-powered care pathways.
The role involves leading data initiatives, collaborating with the Predict team and the wider data engineering organization.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines to efficiently ingest and process data from multiple sources.
The engineer will help create data products for external clients and lead discussions on data architecture and ingestion processes.
Collaboration with engineering, product, and analyst teams is essential to ensure robust processes and systems.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in data engineering, with a deep understanding of data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and big data technologies.
Expertise in supporting AI/ML models is required, with familiarity in LLMs and their integration into healthcare applications being a significant advantage.
A passion for creating data-driven solutions that enhance healthcare experiences and deliver real-world impact is essential.
A collaborative mindset is necessary to work across interdisciplinary teams, including AI researchers, data scientists, and healthcare professionals.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and scalable data frameworks (Spark, Kafka, etc.) is required.
Candidates should have experience in designing and implementing scalable, efficient data pipelines, focusing on SQL and modern data modeling techniques.
Proficiency in developing data engineering solutions using Python and PySpark, particularly for AI and ML tasks, is necessary.
A proven track record of creating data platforms for production-ready ML models, including model deployment, monitoring, and retraining, is preferred.
Understanding of data ingestion systems and the trade-offs involved in ingesting large volumes of data is desirable.
