Remote Senior Data Engineer - (Remote)

Description:

• KBRA Holdings LLC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work on their financial analytical system in a remote capacity.
• The position is full-time and available only in specific states: CA, CO, DC, FL, IL, MD, NJ, MA, NY, PA, SC, TX, VA.
• The role involves joining a collaborative team with a well-defined product vision, participating in all aspects of design, delivery, and support of systems.
• The candidate will collaborate with both technical and non-technical counterparts to understand domain challenges and deliver customer value.
• Responsibilities include developing, testing, and maintaining scalable Python applications, writing clean and efficient code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to system design and architecture.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong portfolio of full stack development work.
• Proficiency in Python is required, including experience with web frameworks such as Flask or Dash.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services is necessary.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases such as SQL, MongoDB, and/or Snowflake using Python is essential.
• The candidate should have experience designing data models for effective data storage and retrieval.
• Skills in debugging, issue resolution, and troubleshooting are required.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting ETL pipelines and developing REST APIs using Python frameworks is necessary.
• The candidate should be familiar with deploying REST APIs in containerized environments like Kubernetes.
• Experience developing systems integrated with cloud services, preferably AWS, is required.
• A sense of ownership and craftsmanship in both legacy and green field codebases is essential.
