  • The company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead a Data Engineering team in a large-scale data modernization effort for a major enterprise client.
  • The role involves migrating and transforming complex legacy data pipelines to a modern custom-built cloud environment to enhance scalability, maintainability, and compliance.
  • The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions that meet unique business needs.
  • The position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with modern technologies such as GCP, Snowflake, Apache Iceberg, dbt, Airflow, Dataflow, and BigQuery, along with experience in Google Landing Zones.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data warehouse modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in designing and building ETL for large data volumes and streaming solutions is required.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and experience with Snowflake and Apache Iceberg tables are necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services including BigQuery, GCS, Airflow, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub is essential.
  • Proficiency in Python for ETL scripting and DAG development is required.
  • Experience using dbt for data transformation and orchestration is necessary.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as Git, Terraform, and Serverless is required.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields is mandatory.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience guiding technical teams are essential.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities are required.
  • An upper-intermediate+ level of English is necessary.
