The company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead a Data Engineering team in a large-scale data modernization effort for a major enterprise client.
The role involves migrating and transforming complex legacy data pipelines to a modern custom-built cloud environment to enhance scalability, maintainability, and compliance.
The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions that meet unique business needs.
The position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with modern technologies such as GCP, Snowflake, Apache Iceberg, dbt, Airflow, Dataflow, and BigQuery, along with experience in Google Landing Zones.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data warehouse modeling.
Strong proficiency in designing and building ETL for large data volumes and streaming solutions is required.
Expert-level SQL skills and experience with Snowflake and Apache Iceberg tables are necessary.
Hands-on experience with GCP services including BigQuery, GCS, Airflow, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub is essential.
Proficiency in Python for ETL scripting and DAG development is required.
Experience using dbt for data transformation and orchestration is necessary.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools such as Git, Terraform, and Serverless is required.
A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields is mandatory.
Strong leadership skills with proven experience guiding technical teams are essential.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities are required.
An upper-intermediate+ level of English is necessary.
