As a Senior Data Engineer, you will explore and implement cutting-edge AI solutions across forums to drive online community engagement.
You will report to the Director of Data & Analytics and collaborate with community managers, engineers, and product managers to improve user experience and grow the business.
The position is remote from Canada, requiring residence in the Eastern, Atlantic, or Newfoundland Time Zone.
Responsibilities include rapidly prototyping AI-powered features, building AI solutions to drive content creation, automating processes with Python cron jobs, analyzing BigQuery data, connecting to banking APIs, and implementing data and analytics solutions.
Requirements:
A minimum of five years of hands-on experience working with data or engineering is required.
Candidates should be deeply curious about AI and automation, with experience integrating AI solutions such as Vertex, ChatGPT, or DeepL.
Hands-on experience connecting to APIs and web scraping using Python and SQL (BigQuery) is necessary.
Experience building data connectors using Python and APIs/web scraping to various platforms like Braintree, PayPal, and Google Analytics is required.
Understanding of forum database structures and the ability to navigate them is essential.
Candidates should be proactive and willing to test new approaches without getting stuck on perfection.
The ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team is important.
Knowledge of Google Cloud Functions is considered a strong bonus.
