Servus Credit Union is seeking a Senior Data Engineering Analyst in the Data and Infrastructure Department.
This is a full-time, permanent, remote position.
The role involves improving the organization’s data structures, movement, scalability, and availability.
The analyst will collaborate with Data Technology, Governance, and Data Science teams to modernize data architecture.
Responsibilities include designing and constructing data pipelines, managing data transformations, and optimizing data storage costs.
The analyst will support business stakeholders, data analysts, cloud infrastructure teams, and data scientists on various data initiatives.
Key accountabilities include delivering high-quality data solutions, developing enterprise-scale data pipelines, and ensuring data quality and compliance.
The position requires monitoring data protection controls and leading R&D efforts to evaluate new technologies.
The analyst will also build analytics tools and lead data engineering projects while aligning initiatives with strategic direction.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 10 years of hands-on experience in cloud-based data engineering, preferably in Azure environments.
A deep understanding of Databricks, including data ingestion, transformation, and performance tuning is necessary.
Proficiency in SQL and Python is required, along with experience in building scalable ETL/ELT solutions using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, or Databricks DLT.
Experience with dbt Cloud as a transformation framework is considered a strong asset.
Candidates should have 5+ years of data modeling experience, including schema design and dimensional modeling.
Solid experience with CI/CD, Git-based development, and monitoring pipelines in production environments is essential.
Familiarity with Power BI, machine learning workflows, and operationalizing models is preferred.
A strong understanding of data science, advanced analytics, and agentic AI concepts is required.
Exposure to data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance frameworks is necessary.
Excellent communication skills are essential for leading cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with technical and business teams.
