Remote Senior Data Platform Engineer (OpenMetadata) - GTM Data Leader | Brazil

Description:

• Truelogic is seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer to enhance and optimize their enterprise-scale metadata management environment built on OpenMetadata.
• The role focuses on extending platform functionality, improving ingestion pipelines, enhancing data lineage capture, and integrating with a modern data stack that includes Airflow, RDS, and OpenSearch.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining custom OpenMetadata connectors for metadata ingestion, automating data lineage capture, debugging and enhancing backend features, managing containerized deployments, optimizing storage and retrieval, orchestrating metadata workflows, implementing RBAC with Okta, and overseeing upgrade management and high-availability configurations.
• This position requires close collaboration with platform engineers and full ownership of feature development and operational stability for the metadata platform.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering or platform engineering roles, with hands-on experience in OpenMetadata.
• Proficiency in ECS (AWS), Airflow, RDS, and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch is required.
• Strong Python development skills for API integrations and connector development are essential.
• Proven experience in implementing RBAC and identity management integrations, such as Okta, is necessary.
• Candidates should be skilled in container orchestration, infrastructure automation, and performance optimization.
• The ability to merge and manage open-source updates into customized codebases is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering production-grade, scalable solutions are essential.
