Curinos is seeking an experienced applied data scientist to join their Data Science & Machine Learning Team.
The role focuses on applying data science, machine learning, and AI to understand banking customer behavior and optimize engagement marketing through FinTech product platforms.
The candidate should be passionate about identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities to enhance consumer banking experiences.
Responsibilities include combining data sources to create actionable insights, collaborating with business partners to develop customer segments, partnering with machine learning engineers to enhance marketing optimization, organizing datasets and visualizations, and proactively exploring data to identify improvement opportunities.
The position is fully remote in the United States or hybrid in the Greater New York, Boston, or Chicago metropolitan areas.
The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with a proven track record in delivering applied machine learning or data science capabilities in consumer-facing or enterprise applications.
Experience in prototyping, optimizing, validating, managing, operating, and updating machine learning and statistical models is required.
Knowledge of statistical inference, experiment design, probability, sampling methodologies, regression, classification, clustering, data mining, time series analysis, causal inference analysis, neural networks, and deep learning techniques is essential; experience in reinforcement learning and multi-armed bandit applications is highly preferred.
A strong working knowledge of Python-based machine learning frameworks and cloud-based data management mechanisms is necessary.
Exceptional communication skills are required, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others towards data-driven business goals are essential.
Candidates should be able to pivot quickly and act with agility based on business needs.
An advanced degree (PhD preferred) or equivalent career experience in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline is required.
