  • The Senior Data Scientist, Machine Learning will build deep-dive analyses and machine learning models to forecast risk across the portfolio for insurance captive contracts and claims activity.
  • The role involves platform-wide analytics to confirm product functionality, including loading of images, buttons, and load times.
  • Responsibilities include A/B testing and optimization across consumer-facing product touchpoints on merchant sites.
  • The candidate will work with Data Engineering and Product teams to ensure proper analytics tracking is set up for new features/products and support the development of ETLs.
  • The position requires collaboration with RevOps to build a data platform for sales compensation planning and assist in writing basic scripts or financial models.
  • The Senior Data Scientist will manage tests for specific merchants and generate data for case studies and go-to-market messaging strategies.
  • The role includes driving portfolio-wide revenue optimization and communicating personalized optimization strategies to merchants based on testing results.
  • The candidate will work with the Risk & Insurance team to build analytics and machine learning models for risk forecasting.
  • The position involves creating platform analytics to confirm product operation and developing processes to optimize warranty mapping operations, pricing, and merchant attach rates.
  • Exploratory data analysis will be performed to assemble metrics and KPIs to assess activity across the Extend platform and support teams with analyses and process improvements.
  • The role requires collaboration with data engineering and product teams to ensure proper data tracking and support debugging and development of new ETL processes.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field is required.
  • The candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in analytics, management consulting, finance, or strategic operations, or a closely related position.
  • Experience in programming languages including Python and R is essential.
  • The candidate must be able to perform data analysis to assemble metrics and assess KPIs.
  • The position can be performed remotely anywhere in the U.S.
