Remote Senior Data Scientist

• The Senior Data Scientist will lead the development of scalable Generative AI pipelines that process raw data and generate context-aware results for Plum’s AI-driven products.
• Responsibilities include designing and architecting end-to-end Generative AI pipelines, integrating LLMs via APIs, building workflows using frameworks like LangChain, and implementing RAG architecture.
• The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and operates in a fast-paced environment focused on innovation and ownership.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning pipelines in production.
• At least 1 year of experience building Generative AI or LLM-based applications is necessary.
• Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with ML/AI frameworks such as LangChain and Transformers are essential.
• A deep understanding of LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, and text generation quality metrics is required.
• Experience designing and implementing RAG architectures is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, MLflow, or similar platforms is required.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS) and MLOps practices for deploying and maintaining models in production is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead through ambiguity are required.
• Excellent communication and documentation habits are necessary.
