Valtech is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their growing capabilities team.
The role involves conducting root-cause analyses of production issues, selecting and implementing machine learning models for time-series forecasting and supply-chain optimization, and contributing well-tested code to existing Python codebases.
Responsibilities include analyzing raw data sets to create meaningful impacts for large enterprise clients, engineering data pipelines, communicating analytical findings visually, creating interactive dashboards, conducting deep dive analyses, and gathering stakeholder requirements.
Ideal candidates should have strong quantitative backgrounds, analytical discipline, and a passion for data and AI technologies.
Requirements:
Candidates must have proven industry experience developing predictive or inferential statistical models or possess a Masters/PhD degree in quantitative studies such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or computation-intensive Sciences and Humanities.
Experience with statistical and machine learning libraries is required, along with proficiency in programmatic languages such as SQL, Python, and R.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles is necessary.
Nice to have qualifications include experience with open-source software libraries, proficiency in visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI, and familiarity with big data environments and cloud architecture components.
