The position is for a detail-oriented Senior Database Developer on a contract and remote basis.
Lead the design and maintenance of enterprise-level database systems.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI, focusing on high-quality solutions for complex business challenges.
Key responsibilities include driving innovation, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of database systems.
Develop and maintain robust database systems that align with business goals and objectives.
Optimize database performance, scalability, and security.
Develop, manage, and optimize ETL workflows using SSIS to support data migration, integration, and transformation needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data pipelines.
Design and develop dynamic and visually compelling reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting solutions to support business intelligence initiatives.
Implement data validation, quality assurance, and governance best practices.
Establish and enforce standards for data integrity, security, and compliance.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of database developers and analysts.
Conduct code reviews, share best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Partner with IT teams to align database strategies with organizational objectives.
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience in database development and management.
Expertise in SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI.
Strong experience in SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedure development.
Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and performance tuning.
Proficiency in developing ETL workflows, data warehousing concepts, and multidimensional/Tabular models.
Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
