Ironside Group is seeking a Database Engineer to join their team.
In this role, you will support clients across various industries by designing and implementing analytics-focused databases and building efficient ETL/ELT pipelines.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing detailed data warehouse models and data mappings for clients.
You will perform performance optimization and tuning on new and/or existing data warehouse implementations.
The role involves providing strategic and tactical guidance regarding data warehousing best practices and ensuring quality documentation within large and mid-market organizations.
You will create and manage data models and schema designs to support reporting, operational systems, and downstream analytics.
Developing and maintaining expertise in advanced and/or emerging data warehouse and analytical information technologies such as cloud data warehousing and ETL/ELT, modern data platforms, and data lakes is required.
You will provide detailed documentation, end-user training, and knowledge-transfer services to customers.
Partnering with data analysts, data scientists, and business users to deliver reliable, well-documented data assets is essential.
Occasional travel within the US is required.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in data modeling and managing data assets, with experience working with Snowflake, Redshift, Netezza, and Databricks for data storage, processing, and analytics use cases is required.
At least 3 years of practical experience building and maintaining robust ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and semi-structured data using modern tools like Glue, DBT, Informatica, and SSIS is necessary.
Expertise in SQL scripting, including writing complex and efficient queries and building complex and performant stored procedures in SQL is required.
Expert knowledge in procedure languages such as T-SQL and PL-SQL is essential.
The ability to understand and analyze data assets as part of reporting analytics is necessary.
