Tietoevry Banking is seeking a Cloud Database Engineer to join their team, focusing on financial services software and solutions in the Nordics.
The Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) unit aims to protect financial systems from criminal activities.
The role involves managing and safeguarding data during the transition from on-premises to cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities include managing and administrating cloud databases such as AWS Aurora (Postgres) and Clickhouse, as well as on-prem databases.
The position requires performance tuning of databases, implementing backup procedures, conducting database upgrades, and assisting developers with database design and SQL.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience managing and administrating databases, particularly in a cloud environment.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering is required.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience is necessary.
The ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex technical information to various audiences.
Experience with Postgres and cloud infrastructure within the AWS ecosystem is preferred.
Understanding of DevOps and operational infrastructure, including high availability, is important.
Knowledge of Terraform is also required.
