  • The company is seeking a Senior Developer Experience Engineer to join at a pivotal moment in its growth, reporting to the Staff Architect 2.
  • This role involves being the founding member of the Developer Experience practice, shaping how developers interact with the Data Security Platform and OpenTDF SDKs.
  • Responsibilities include driving the development of multi-language SDKs, improving the developer onboarding experience, creating technical documentation, engaging with the open-source community, measuring developer experience metrics, advocating for developers, and establishing processes and standards for the Developer Experience practice.

Requirements:

  • Candidates should have 5-7 years of software engineering experience focused on developer-facing tools, SDKs, or APIs.
  • Hands-on experience in building and maintaining SDKs, developer tools, or APIs in production environments is required.
  • Strong programming skills in Go, Java, and/or JavaScript with the ability to write idiomatic code in each language are necessary.
  • Familiarity with API design principles and best practices for developer-facing interfaces is essential.
  • A background in Developer Experience or Developer Relations with a track record of improving developer adoption and satisfaction is preferred.
  • Experience in community engagement, particularly with open-source projects, is important.
  • Candidates should possess technical writing skills to create clear documentation, blogs, and tutorials.
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution is required, along with exceptional communication skills for collaboration.
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to build from scratch with minimal guidance is essential.
