The company is seeking a Senior Developer Experience Engineer to join at a pivotal moment in its growth, reporting to the Staff Architect 2.
This role involves being the founding member of the Developer Experience practice, shaping how developers interact with the Data Security Platform and OpenTDF SDKs.
Responsibilities include driving the development of multi-language SDKs, improving the developer onboarding experience, creating technical documentation, engaging with the open-source community, measuring developer experience metrics, advocating for developers, and establishing processes and standards for the Developer Experience practice.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 5-7 years of software engineering experience focused on developer-facing tools, SDKs, or APIs.
Hands-on experience in building and maintaining SDKs, developer tools, or APIs in production environments is required.
Strong programming skills in Go, Java, and/or JavaScript with the ability to write idiomatic code in each language are necessary.
Familiarity with API design principles and best practices for developer-facing interfaces is essential.
A background in Developer Experience or Developer Relations with a track record of improving developer adoption and satisfaction is preferred.
Experience in community engagement, particularly with open-source projects, is important.
Candidates should possess technical writing skills to create clear documentation, blogs, and tutorials.
Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution is required, along with exceptional communication skills for collaboration.
A self-starter mentality with the ability to build from scratch with minimal guidance is essential.
