  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer to join our Professional Services team at Squiz Inc.
  • The role involves advising on front-end architecture and implementing the Squiz DXP to ensure the technical solution is tailored to the client brand and content strategy.
  • This position is open to candidates across the United States with remote working arrangements, ideally looking for candidates on the East Coast or West Coast, but we are open to other locations.
  • Responsibilities include designing and building complex, scalable, and maintainable user interfaces for both back and frontend.
  • You will own key parts of the solution architecture and influence technical direction.
  • The role requires integrating with client systems using DXP features, which involves coding on platforms using Node.js.
  • You will work closely with clients to understand user needs and pain points, translating them into intuitive and performant digital experiences.
  • Collaboration is key, as you will work with designers, product managers, QA/testers, and presales teams.
  • You will develop reusable components and libraries that power multiple products or client solutions.
  • Champion best practices in accessibility, performance, responsive design, and testing.
  • Mentor developers by sharing knowledge, guiding architecture decisions, and modeling best practices.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building production-grade front-end applications.
  • A strong knowledge of web fundamentals, HTTP methods, integration patterns, and RESTful APIs is required.
  • Experience in building web interfaces according to WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices is essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in front-end web development using JavaScript (preferably vanilla JS), HTML5, and CSS3 is necessary.
  • Demonstrable experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required.
  • Candidates should have experience building component libraries/design systems.
  • Experience working with headless CMS platforms or Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs) is a must.
  • A strong grasp of web performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility is required.
  • Comfort with build tools and bundlers such as Webpack and Vite is necessary.
