The DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of AnthologyAI’s platform, reporting to the VP of Engineering.
The position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems and infrastructure that form the backbone of AnthologyAI’s platform.
Responsibilities include collaborating with senior engineers, utilizing Terraform for infrastructure management, implementing monitoring solutions with Datadog, managing deployments with Helm in Kubernetes, and assisting in the deployment of services on AWS and GCP.
The role also requires contributing to observability practices, administering distributed systems, utilizing Kafka for streaming platforms, and troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues.
The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management is necessary.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog is essential for tracking system performance and troubleshooting issues.
Proficiency in managing containerized applications using Helm within Kubernetes clusters is required.
Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS and GCP, including deploying and managing services is necessary.
Knowledge of distributed systems concepts and hands-on experience with their administration is required.
Experience with Kafka for building and managing distributed streaming platforms is necessary.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure issues are essential.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Self-motivated individuals eager to learn new technologies and stay updated with industry advancements are preferred.
Benefits:
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $160,000 to $180,000, which may vary based on experience.
