The DevOps team is responsible for building and maintaining Clear Capital's AWS cloud infrastructure, which includes multi-tenant SaaS applications serving some of the largest financial institutions, data and analytics products, machine learning, and more.

A Senior DevOps Engineer stands at the intersection of software development and system operations, employing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to automate the deployment, monitoring, management, and decommissioning of complete operating environments.
This role includes taking operational responsibility for those environments and mentoring junior-level Engineers.
Responsibilities include participating in the administration of AWS systems, designing and managing monitoring systems, supporting security audits, configuring software build/deploy pipelines, managing software deployment through various environments, and managing security and compliance infrastructure.
The position requires deep technical expertise in multiple areas, including operating systems, network infrastructure, security infrastructure, databases, application servers, and monitoring systems.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates should have 7 years of software engineering experience, with software development experience being a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a combination of software development and technical operations support, with a strong emphasis on DevOps, is necessary.
Scripting experience with a language like Shell or Python is required.
Expertise in using AWS foundational services such as EC2, ELB, VPC/Networking, S3, SQS, and SNS is essential.
Proficiency with additional AWS services, including DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Redshift, and Kinesis, is expected.
Candidates must have proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience using configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet is required.
Experience with security infrastructure management, including encryption, two-factor authentication, and auditing and compliance controls, is necessary.
Monitoring systems experience is required.
Familiarity with version control software, such as git, and branching strategies is essential.
Candidates should be able to automate and manage AWS-based infrastructure using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Experience in configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS, standalone) is required.

The base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $157,500 annually, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
