The Senior DevOps Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure position is a remote role based in the United States, offered by GameChanger.
This role is intended for a skilled DevOps professional who is passionate about building and scaling cloud infrastructure for high-availability applications.
The engineer will lead the design and implementation of secure, resilient, and scalable cloud platforms, assisting engineering teams in deploying and managing applications efficiently.
Responsibilities include ensuring the reliability, scalability, and high availability of cloud infrastructure and services.
The engineer will develop Terraform modules and internal tools to enable engineering teams to self-serve infrastructure securely and efficiently.
They will build self-service solutions that allow teams to manage deployments, scale services, and operate databases independently.
Collaboration with product engineers to write and improve application code that integrates with infrastructure and observability systems is expected.
The role involves troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, identifying root causes, and implementing durable, long-term solutions.
The engineer will align infrastructure design and implementation with product goals and lead DevOps best practices across engineering teams.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in software engineering fundamentals is required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or Prometheus is necessary.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and programming/scripting languages including Terraform, TypeScript, and Python is required.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and Agile methodologies, including tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins, is essential.
An understanding of patterns and best practices for resiliency, scalability, and security in cloud environments is expected.
Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote team interactions are crucial.

The position offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary range of $160,000 – $190,000, with additional bonus and equity opportunities.
Employees can work fully remote throughout the U.S. or have the option to work from the Manhattan, NY office.
