The Senior DevOps Engineer will create reusable infrastructure components using infrastructure-as-code technologies to allow teams to manage their own infrastructure needs.
The role involves maturing the CI/CD pipeline to enable teams to scale in a self-service way, reducing deployment cost and time.
Collaboration with product engineering teams is essential to design scalable infrastructure and deployment patterns for customer-facing solutions.
The engineer will act as an expert in AWS technologies, providing guidance on appropriate AWS solutions to address business needs.
Mentoring new engineers on best practices and designs related to CI/CD or AWS technologies is a key responsibility.
The position includes leading dynamic project efforts related to improving or enabling new technologies throughout Extend.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in a DevOps engineering role is required.
At least 2 years of experience with CDK, AWS CloudFormation, or other infrastructure-as-code systems like Terraform is necessary.
Candidates should have 2+ years of experience or certification in AWS serverless technologies, including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
Knowledge of best practices around security roles/policies for AWS IAM is essential.
Experience working with monitoring services such as CloudWatch and DataDog is required.
Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as BitBucket Actions, Jenkins, CodeBuild, or others is necessary.
The ability to perform in a high-energy environment with dynamic job responsibilities and priorities is important.
