  • Extend works with over 1,000 leading merchant partners across various industries, including fashion/apparel, cosmetics, furniture, jewelry, consumer electronics, auto parts, and sports and fitness.
  • The Senior DevOps Engineer will create reusable infrastructure components using infrastructure-as-code technologies to allow teams to manage their own infrastructure needs.
  • The role involves maturing the CI/CD pipeline to enable teams to scale in a self-service way, reducing deployment cost and time.
  • Collaboration with product engineering teams is essential to design scalable infrastructure and deployment patterns for customer-facing solutions.
  • The engineer will act as an expert in AWS technologies, providing guidance on appropriate AWS solutions to address business needs.
  • Mentoring new engineers on best practices and designs related to CI/CD or AWS technologies is a key responsibility.
  • The position includes leading dynamic project efforts related to improving or enabling new technologies throughout Extend.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a DevOps engineering role is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience with CDK, AWS CloudFormation, or other infrastructure-as-code systems like Terraform is necessary.
  • Candidates should have 2+ years of experience or certification in AWS serverless technologies, including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Knowledge of best practices around security roles/policies for AWS IAM is essential.
  • Experience working with monitoring services such as CloudWatch and DataDog is required.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as BitBucket Actions, Jenkins, CodeBuild, or others is necessary.
  • The ability to perform in a high-energy environment with dynamic job responsibilities and priorities is important.
