Remote Senior DevOps Engineer

• The Senior DevOps Engineer will take technical ownership of the cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Responsibilities include building, operating, and maintaining infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and automation within the DevOps function.
• The role involves building secure infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, Kubernetes, and related tooling.
• The engineer will own and improve CI/CD workflows, enabling fast and reliable deployments across teams.
• Advising and supporting fellow DevOps engineers to foster autonomy, quality, and professional growth is also a key responsibility.
• The engineer will define and track operational metrics, drive incident readiness and response, and collaborate cross-functionally to align infrastructure goals with broader product and platform objectives.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering, with at least 3 years in senior or leadership roles.
• Deep experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Terraform, is required.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and deployment tooling such as Helm is necessary.
• Candidates should have extensive knowledge of CI/CD processes, including tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages are essential.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, or ELK/OpenSearch is required.
• A strong understanding of cloud security practices, including IAM, encryption, secure network design, and compliance, is necessary.
• Proven ability to mentor, lead technical initiatives, and drive strategic outcomes is essential.
• Candidates should have a solid understanding of systems performance and reliability, with experience in improving deployment reliability and infrastructure scalability.
• Comfort in working in a polyglot environment (e.g., Scala, C#, Python) is expected.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong opinions on infrastructure while being open to evolving them.
• A collaborative, curious nature and willingness to engage deeply in technical details are important.
