Remote Senior DevOps Engineer

Description:

• Nuna's mission is to make high-quality healthcare affordable for everyone, focusing on data understanding, modern technology, and compassion.
• The company is developing a consumer app that leverages AI, gamification, and social support techniques to improve outcomes for people with chronic conditions.
• The DevOps Engineer will serve as the main point of contact for platform, infrastructure, and tooling needs within the engineering organization.
• Responsibilities include managing, monitoring, and optimizing cloud infrastructure (AWS) for high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• The role involves developing and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, particularly Terraform.
• The engineer will evaluate the current platform state, optimize tools and services, and build self-service options for engineering teams.
• Incorporating modern methodologies such as CI/CD, Blue/Green Deployments, and automation into the development process is essential.
• The engineer will partner with the internal infrastructure team to ensure security, compliance, and reliability while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or in a similar role is necessary.
• Proficiency and hands-on experience with the AWS cloud platform and services are required.
• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is essential.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions is required.
• Familiarity with at least one JVM language is necessary.
• A solid understanding of containerization technologies and orchestration platforms is required.
• Experience with version control systems like Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket is necessary.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, or Sentry is required.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with Kotlin, understanding of AWS Fargate and Kinesis, database management experience, knowledge of security tools and practices, and experience in a regulated industry.
