Nearform is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a permanent full-time remote position based in Italy.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support scalable and reliable applications.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP, creating deployment architectures and continuous delivery pipelines, and designing high-availability solutions.
The engineer will implement monitoring frameworks, automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes.
Security best practices must be applied across CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and microservices.
The role requires optimizing system performance and collaborating with development teams to improve DevOps processes.
The engineer will advise clients on cloud infrastructure best practices and engage in technical discussions with stakeholders.
Requirements:
Candidates must have significant experience delivering at a Senior Engineer level, typically with at least 6 years of commercial experience.
Practical experience in developing real-world solutions and delivering in an agile environment is required.
Strong experience in managing and automating cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation is necessary.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, ideally Kubernetes, is required.
Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions or Jenkins, is needed.
Scripting and automation expertise, preferably with Python, is required.
Candidates should have experience with observability tools and monitoring frameworks for system performance optimization.
A solid understanding of security best practices across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices is essential.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required, along with professional proficiency in English.
