Remote Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote EU)

• The Senior DevOps Engineer will be the first dedicated DevOps hire, responsible for building, owning, and scaling the platform that powers Tilt.

• The engineer will work closely with product engineers and data leads to ensure the platform remains fast and resilient as the company grows.
• The position is remote, but candidates must have the right to work in the EU, as visa sponsorship is not offered.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience building and scaling cloud infrastructure using AWS.
• Proficiency in Terraform or similar tools for managing infrastructure as code in production environments is required.
• A strong understanding of Docker and containerized environments is necessary.
• Applicants should be knowledgeable in setting up and tuning monitoring and observability tools to proactively catch issues.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python is essential, with the ability to collaborate closely with engineers.
• Experience in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, preferably at an early-stage startup or scale-up, is important.
• Candidates should be comfortable being the first in a role and building systems from scratch.
• A pragmatic, simple, and quick-moving approach is valued.
• Enthusiasm for introducing new tools, experimenting with AI, and enhancing developer experience is expected.
