Oddball is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their mission-driven team in the United States.
The role involves delivering high-impact, secure software systems that improve the lives of millions of Americans.
The Senior DevOps Engineer will work on a pivotal federal program, collaborating with top engineers to shape infrastructure, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and optimize cloud environments.
Responsibilities include collaborating with a cross-functional DevOps team to build and enforce DevOps best practices within the federal space.
The engineer will create and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
They will develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
The role requires designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud environments across AWS and Azure, including ECS, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
Monitoring performance using DataDog and ensuring operational reliability is essential.
The engineer will support Docker containerization and troubleshoot container-related issues.
Participation in Agile ceremonies and support for collaborative software development processes is expected.
The role includes contributing to documentation and tooling to streamline engineering workflows.
Assisting with security frameworks and the ATO (Authority to Operate) process is a nice-to-have.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or related fields.
Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and CI/CD best practices is required.
Proven proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud services, especially in managing serverless and container-based environments, is necessary.
Experience with Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and monitoring tools like DataDog is essential.
Familiarity with Agile environments and collaborative development teams is required.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain low-level federal security clearance.

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
