Spalding, a Saalex Company, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Patuxent River, MD.
The company has been delivering cutting-edge solutions to the Department of Defense since 2001, including software development, IT, program management, financial management, and business intelligence services.
The ideal candidate will have strong developer experience supporting containerized applications and will be responsible for identifying, testing, and implementing pipeline process improvements using GitLab or third-party tools.
The role requires excellent customer service skills to educate customers on pipeline functionality and troubleshoot issues.
The position is full-time and offers a salary range of $135k-$165k, depending on experience.
This is a remote position, but onboarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for local candidates, while out-of-state candidates will be onboarded virtually.
Training will be virtual, with some on-site work required for local candidates a few hours per week.
Requirements:
CI/CD implementation experience is required.
Experience in the design and development of DevOps pipelines is required.
Proficient communication and documentation skills are necessary, with experience in preparing technical guidance, how-to instructions, test plans, demos, and presenting training to stakeholders.
CompTIA Security+ certification is required; candidates must be willing to obtain it within 90 days of onboarding if not currently certified.
The ability to work independently in a fast-paced technical environment is essential.
A BS/BA degree with 10 years of related experience, an AA/AS degree with 14 years of related experience, or a high school diploma with 16 years of related experience is required.
An active TS/SSBI clearance is desired, or an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.
