The Senior DevOps Engineer will join the new Platform team to enhance delivery through improved DORA metrics.
Responsibilities include building tools, optimizing AWS infrastructure, and enhancing the developer experience.
The role involves contributing to platform initiatives from the first month, proposing solutions by the second month, and shipping improvements by the third month.
By six months, the engineer is expected to have measurably improved DORA metrics and become a go-to DevOps expert.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a strong software engineering background with multiple years of experience transitioning to DevOps/Platform engineering.
Deep expertise in AWS is required, particularly with serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, SQS, IAM, and AWS networking.
Mastery of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt is essential.
CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions, including complex workflow design, is necessary.
Strong scripting skills in Bash are required, with additional proficiency in Node.js and/or Python being a plus.
Experience with monitoring and observability using modern tooling is needed.
A solid understanding of DORA metrics and a proven track record of improving them is required.
Desirable qualifications include experience building internal developer platforms, knowledge of Kubernetes and GitOps practices, service mesh knowledge, security best practices, and experience in startups or scale-ups.
