The Senior Director of Cloud Operations is responsible for the operational integrity, performance, and reliability of enterprise cloud environments.

The position reports directly to the Vice President of Cloud.
Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure high availability and performance across global regions.
The role involves leading the development and execution of operational runbooks, SOPs, and escalation paths.
The Senior Director owns the end-to-end incident management lifecycle, including detection, triage, escalation, resolution, and post-incident review.
The position requires leading a global incident response team with 24/7 coverage and implementing real-time monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation.
Data analytics will be used to identify incident trends, recurring issues, and systemic risks.
The role includes conducting blameless postmortems and ensuring corrective actions are prioritized and tracked to closure.
The Senior Director will build and lead a global team of cloud engineers, SREs, and operations analysts using a metrics-first approach.
Operational KPIs will be defined and tracked to drive accountability and performance.
The position involves leveraging dashboards and analytics platforms to provide real-time visibility into system health and team performance.
The role will drive AI and ML adoption in operational workflows to improve uptime and automate repetitive tasks.
The Senior Director will define and execute an AI-driven observability strategy and collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Product teams.
Responsibilities include defining and enforcing SLAs, SLOs, and operational KPIs while ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and audit requirements.
The position requires monitoring and optimizing cloud spend through cost governance and managing vendor relationships.
The Senior Director will partner with engineering, security, and business teams to align operations with product and service goals and provide regular reporting to executive leadership.
Requirements:
A Bachelorโs or masterโs degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 14+ years in IT operations, with at least 7+ years in cloud infrastructure and operations leadership.
Proven experience leading global teams and managing high-severity incidents in large-scale environments is essential.
Deep expertise in cloud operations, incident response, and service reliability is required.
Strong knowledge of ITIL, SRE, and DevOps practices is necessary.
Proficiency in operational analytics and observability tools is expected.
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.
Strong presentation skills, including experience presenting to large global audiences, are necessary.
Preferred certifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer โ Professional, Azure Administrator Associate, and ITIL Foundation or Practitioner.
