  • Hopscotch Primary Care is seeking a hands-on Senior Director of Engineering to lead the Platform and Data Engineering teams during a critical growth phase.
  • The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with technical execution, overseeing developers and enhancing development velocity while maintaining quality.
  • This role involves building internal engineering capabilities to support a data-driven care model that powers clinical operations, analytics, and patient engagement.
  • The Senior Director will shape the architecture and execution of scalable infrastructure and data systems to ensure they can grow as the company expands into new markets.
  • The position requires close collaboration with Product, Operations, Growth, and Clinical teams to define and drive the technology roadmap.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 10+ years of technical experience, including at least 5 years managing engineering teams.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector, preferably in services/provider or payer sectors, is required.
  • A background in leading a hybrid model of in-house development and vended solutions is essential.
  • A proven track record of developing high-performing technical teams is necessary.
  • Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment, ideally within healthcare, is preferred.
  • A results-driven mindset focusing on impactful priorities is crucial.
  • Candidates should possess a concise and articulate communication style, capable of simplifying complex concepts both verbally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data sources, clinical workflow software, and backend systems or data tools is advantageous.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is a plus, as is experience with the Palantir Foundry data platform.

Benefits:

  • The position offers a salary range of $175,000 – $262,000 annually, based on location, relevant experience, and qualifications.
