Hopscotch Primary Care is seeking a hands-on Senior Director of Engineering to lead the Platform and Data Engineering teams during a critical growth phase.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with technical execution, overseeing developers and enhancing development velocity while maintaining quality.
This role involves building internal engineering capabilities to support a data-driven care model that powers clinical operations, analytics, and patient engagement.
The Senior Director will shape the architecture and execution of scalable infrastructure and data systems to ensure they can grow as the company expands into new markets.
The position requires close collaboration with Product, Operations, Growth, and Clinical teams to define and drive the technology roadmap.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of technical experience, including at least 5 years managing engineering teams.
Experience in the healthcare sector, preferably in services/provider or payer sectors, is required.
A background in leading a hybrid model of in-house development and vended solutions is essential.
A proven track record of developing high-performing technical teams is necessary.
Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment, ideally within healthcare, is preferred.
A results-driven mindset focusing on impactful priorities is crucial.
Candidates should possess a concise and articulate communication style, capable of simplifying complex concepts both verbally and in writing.
Familiarity with healthcare data sources, clinical workflow software, and backend systems or data tools is advantageous.
Experience with AWS infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is a plus, as is experience with the Palantir Foundry data platform.
Benefits:
The position offers a salary range of $175,000 – $262,000 annually, based on location, relevant experience, and qualifications.
