  • Responsibilities include leading backend services that integrate AI into the geospatial platform, developing and optimizing data processing pipelines, building scalable APIs for geospatial operations, and enhancing platform security.
  • The role also involves collaborating with product leaders, supporting junior engineers, and ensuring platform performance at scale.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in full-stack/backend engineering, preferably in GIS or construction-tech.
  • Experience with AI/ML tooling and integration into user-focused products is required.
  • Strong backend skills in languages such as Python, Node.js, or Go, and familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs are necessary.
  • Familiarity with geospatial frameworks like PostGIS and GeoJSON is a plus.
  • DevOps competence in CI/CD, cloud architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is expected.
  • Effective communication skills and experience in collaborative, product-centric environments are essential.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bonus points for prior exposure to pre-construction or civil engineering workflows.
