The Senior Engineer (Data Scientist) will be responsible for building scalable and reliable data pipelines using AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and S3 to process large volumes of customer and campaign data.
The role involves conducting exploratory data analysis using Athena, Redshift, or EMR to generate customer insights and identify behavioral patterns.
The engineer will design segmentation logic using clustering algorithms or rule-based techniques to enable campaign personalization through profile enrichment and segment targeting.
Development and deployment of ML models using Amazon SageMaker to predict customer propensity for specific offers, churn likelihood, and campaign responsiveness is required.
The position includes creating stakeholder dashboards and automated reporting using Amazon QuickSight or integrating with BI tools like Tableau/Power BI if necessary.
The engineer will measure and analyze campaign impact using A/B testing frameworks and advanced attribution models, recommending optimization levers based on data.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong proficiency in SQL and Python, including libraries like Pandas, Scikit-learn, and XGBoost.
A minimum of 5 years of work experience is required.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related fields is necessary.
Experience with the AWS data stack, including S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena, Redshift, and SageMaker, is essential.
Candidates should have experience deploying and maintaining ML models in production environments on AWS.
The ability to automate data pipelines and workflows using AWS native services or orchestration frameworks like Airflow is required.
Proficiency in data visualization using Amazon QuickSight or other dashboarding tools is necessary.
Strong business communication skills are needed to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
Experience in the telecom industry or handling large-scale customer data is considered a strong plus.
