Octave is seeking a full-stack engineer with over 5 years of experience to develop systems and tools that support clients, providers, and operational teams.
The engineering team primarily works remotely and utilizes technologies such as Next.js (React), Django on PostgreSQL, gRPC, and GraphQL/REST.
Responsibilities include designing and developing backend systems and APIs, collaborating with product managers, implementing server-side logic, integrating frontend interfaces, managing databases, documenting processes, optimizing performance, and participating in testing and debugging.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in building robust and scalable APIs and web applications.
Experience in developing and deploying modern web applications using React is required.
Proficiency in developing and deploying Python applications in production environments is necessary.
Familiarity with relational database systems like PostgreSQL or MySQL is essential.
Experience in integrating and synchronizing data with third-party APIs is preferred.
Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and continuous deployment practices is a plus.
Experience with the Django web framework and gRPC/Protobuf is advantageous.
Candidates should have experience working in healthcare or regulated industries and be comfortable collaborating with diverse teams.
A commitment to writing quality code with automated testing and improving the codebase is expected.
Interest in mission-oriented work, particularly in the healthcare sector, is preferred.
