Logos is a movement supporting the development of the decentralised web, aiming to create a freer internet for evolving communities.
Nomos, created by Logos, serves as the infrastructure for network states, allowing easy interaction and implementation of lightweight blockchains known as Zones.
The role is for a SENIOR Engineer with strong Rust and P2P experience to join the Nomos team.
Responsibilities include implementing and optimizing decentralised P2P protocols for network infrastructure, building production-level P2P network components, developing proof-of-concepts for peer-to-peer communication layers, engineering resilient distributed systems for Byzantine fault-tolerant environments, analyzing and optimizing real-world P2P network performance, and maintaining and enhancing the Rust-based P2P networking stack.
Requirements:
Candidates must have solid experience in Rust, which is non-negotiable.
Proven P2P engineering experience is required, including implementation of peer discovery, data propagation, or network topologies, and building decentralised systems in Byzantine environments.
The ability to operationalize P2P research into production code is essential.
Candidates should have proven experience in Distributed Systems, with strong knowledge of consensus mechanisms, distributed storage, or gossip protocols, and performance tuning of large-scale node networks.
A background in Computer Science or Mathematics fundamentals, including cryptography, algorithms, and networking, is necessary.
Strong technical communication skills, including code documentation and system diagrams, are required.
A strong interest in privacy-preserving, censorship-resistant, and open protocols is expected.
Benefits:
Compensation can be provided in any mix of fiat or cryptocurrency, offering flexibility in payment options.
