Remote Senior Enterprise Security Engineer - PreSales

• Tenable® is the Exposure Management company, supporting 44,000 organizations globally to understand and reduce cyber risk.
• The Senior Enterprise Security Engineer - PreSales will be responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle across various customer types, including conducting demos, proof of values (POVs), answering requests for proposals (RFPs), and handling objections.
• The role requires acting as a subject matter expert in cloud security and serving as a mentor for other sales engineers, customers, and channel partners.
• Responsibilities include becoming a Cloud Security, Compliance & Governance SME, meeting with prospective clients to identify their cloud security challenges, and partnering with regional sales teams to drive product awareness.
• The engineer will map Tenable’s business value to client challenges, perform tailored solution demonstrations, and collaborate with peers to build strong teams and share knowledge.
• The position involves influencing product directions, owning the complete PoV process, mentoring customers and channel partners, participating in public events, and providing feedback to product management.
• Continuous professional development is expected through educational workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of industry pre-sales experience is required.
• A BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience is necessary.
• Experience with cloud computing infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is essential.
• Knowledge of Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or other cloud automation tools is required.
• The candidate must understand how to craft tailored demos rather than delivering canned presentations.
• Ability to engage with large clients to architect solutions that meet their needs, including offering best practice recommendations and on-the-fly solution suggestions.
• Strong skills in leading discussions from a technical level to the executive level are necessary.
• A self-starter attitude and determination to win are essential traits.
• Solid teamwork skills are crucial, as teamwork is emphasized at Tenable.
• Strong interpersonal skills are required.
• Willingness to travel within the territory, typically around 25% on average, is expected.
• Additional certifications such as AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineering Certification, and GCP Cloud Professional are preferred.
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) DevOps workflow, with a preference for DevSecOps, is also required.
