Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our Professional Services team at Squiz.
  • The role involves implementing the Squiz DXP, ensuring the technical solution is tailored to the client brand and content strategy.
  • This position is open to candidates across the West Coast of America with a hybrid working arrangement.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in front-end web development, specifically with JavaScript (preferably vanilla JS), HTML, and CSS, with an emphasis on 80% frontend and 20% backend (Node.js).
  • Experience in building commercial-grade websites, portals, intranets, etc., is required.
  • A strong knowledge of web fundamentals, HTTP methods, integration patterns, and RESTful APIs is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience building web interfaces according to WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
  • Demonstrable experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is essential.
  • Experience in building component libraries/design systems is required.
  • Familiarity with headless CMS platforms or DXPs such as Contentful, Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore, and Optimizely is necessary.
  • A strong grasp of web performance optimization and cross-browser compatibility is required.
  • Candidates should be comfortable with build tools and bundlers like Webpack and Vite.
  • It is a plus to have experience working in a client-facing role, such as in consulting or a digital agency.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React is also a nice to have.
