The role is remote across Australia and New Zealand, with options to work from the Sydney or Melbourne campuses or co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and deploying solutions through hands-on software development, collaborating with leads, designers, and product managers to deliver features and experiments to customers worldwide.
The role involves adopting AI into workflows to maximize efficiency and scale, primarily focusing on web frontend development using TypeScript, with occasional work in other languages and environments.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and advocate for engineering needs to non-technical team members.
Model initiative and ownership in achieving goals and improving processes and solutions.
Identify opportunities for cross-team collaboration to work on new insights and improvements that support company goals.
Requirements:
Candidates should have commercial experience in a software development environment, ideally with experience in building internal/external SDKs or APIs.
Familiarity with the frontend stack, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, and MobX, is valuable but not required.
A strong foundation in computer science and engineering fundamentals, including asynchronous programming, data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patterns, is necessary.
Previous experience working collaboratively with team members and effective communication skills are essential, including the ability to give feedback.
Experience writing accessible code and understanding detailed specifications (WCAG 2.2 AA, ATAG 2.0) is required, along with a genuine interest in creating an accessible experience for all users.
A deep understanding of different disability models, universal design, and accessibility-related standards is important.
