McFadyen Digital is seeking a Senior Full Stack Composable Commerce Developer with a passion for technology and problem-solving.
The role involves architecting and implementing modular, scalable solutions using MACH principles.
Responsibilities include developing and integrating APIs (REST/GraphQL) from headless commerce, CMS, PIM, and payment platforms.
The developer will build and deploy microservices using containerized or serverless technologies.
The position requires defining infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines for MACH environments.
Ensuring high performance, security, and maintainability of distributed systems is a key responsibility.
Additional tasks include collaborating with frontend engineers, building backend-for-frontend (BFF) layers, contributing to solution architecture, and leading root cause analysis of system issues.
Requirements:
Candidates must have deep knowledge of MACH architecture (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless).
Experience leading technical teams in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) is required.
Strong object-oriented programming and system design skills are essential.
Hands-on expertise in headless commerce systems and composable architectures is necessary.
Strong collaboration, communication, and mentorship skills are required.
Additional qualifications include experience with composable commerce platforms like Adobe SAAS, commercetools, Elastic Path, or BigCommerce.
Proficiency in building and consuming APIs (REST/GraphQL) is needed.
Candidates should have cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or serverless frameworks (e.g., AWS Lambda) is required.
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Terraform, and DevOps best practices is necessary.
Knowledge of frontend ecosystems such as JAMstack, MEAN, MERN, and headless CMS is a plus.
