Pavago is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer for a fast-scaling U.S. startup.
This position is a full-time contractor role with working hours aligned to U.S. time zones.
The developer will own the full-stack development of a brand-new platform and has the potential to grow into a CTO-level leadership role.
Responsibilities include leading the platform build, defining the tech stack, backend engineering, frontend development, integrating AI and real-time features, managing DevOps and cloud deployment, ensuring security and access control, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining documentation.
The ideal candidate should be a builder-minded leader, tech strategist, AI-curious, security-conscious, possess high ownership, and be a strong communicator.
A typical day involves coding, testing, real-time feature development, and collaborating with the founder.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of full stack experience, ideally in startups or high-ownership environments.
Proficiency in frontend technologies such as React, Redux Toolkit, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS is required.
Strong knowledge of backend technologies including Node.js, NestJS, REST API development, and Express JS is essential.
Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, Prisma, MongoDB, and Redis for caching is necessary.
Candidates should have strong implementation skills with RBAC models, JWT/OAuth token handling, and endpoint protection.
Deployment experience with AWS EC2 (preferred), GCP, or Vercel, and CI/CD via GitHub Actions or CircleCI is required.
Comfort with implementing real-time data flows using WebSockets or similar technologies is needed.
Experience or strong interest in integrating AI features such as chat interfaces, text summarization, or NLP is important.
Familiarity with microservices, middlewares, modular system design, and scalable infrastructures is required.
Collaboration tools such as Git, GitHub, Notion, Slack, and Zoom should be well understood.
