At Feeld, we are creating a world where everyone is more intimately connected to each other and themselves.
We are building an inclusive, human-centred product and are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a backend focus to join our remote team.
You will be responsible for core product engineering, working on the Feeld mobile app and the supporting backend systems to deliver new features and updates to our Members.
You will work with a group of 6 engineers and 1 lead in a “Squad”, focusing on core pillars of the product such as onboarding, discover, chat, or Member care experiences.
Your tasks will include building experiments, features, and fixing issues aligned with the goals of your Squad.
You will support engineers within your Squad and the wider engineering team by sharing your knowledge of fullstack development.
You will align with peers across the business to ensure a fully supported user experience, including required “back office” tooling, security/compliance features, and data/analytics capabilities.
You will monitor and review current systems and services, and recommend and implement changes to address technical debt often.
Requirements:
You should have extensive backend development experience, ideally with TypeScript, and a solid understanding of AWS technologies.
You should be well versed in development best practices, especially regarding security and potential attack vectors.
You should have a working knowledge of frontend development, including the platform specifics of Android and iOS.
You have worked on scalable (1M MAU) and distributed systems, focused on performance and reliability.
You are familiar with microservices, event-driven architecture, message queues, and serverless functions.
You know your way around a React Native mobile app, capable of debugging issues and contributing to features.
You are comfortable with the suite of services offered by modern cloud providers such as AWS and understand your way around their consoles.
You value collaboration and see code reviews as a chance to learn and improve together.
You understand the importance of delivering value to our Members, not just shipping code, and will collaborate closely with product and QA.
Benefits:
We offer flexible working hours to accommodate your schedule.
You will receive unlimited paid time off to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
The position allows for a fully remote working situation, enabling you to work from anywhere.
You will have access to a GBP £3k equipment and home office budget to set up your workspace.
We provide a learning & development budget to support your professional growth.
On-demand therapy sessions and mental health support are available via Spill.
You will have opportunities for in-person meet-ups with the team.
Our compensation system is transparent, honest, and equitable, with a Baseline Freedom Salary of £60,000 GBP per year.
The estimated total cash compensation for this role is between £70,000 to £120,000 GBP, depending on Level, Step, and geographic location.
