  • The engineer will be part of a small, agile team of 3-4 engineers building features that directly impact educators and students.
  • Responsibilities include building end-to-end solutions from React/TypeScript frontends to GoLang backend services, leading project initiatives, and optimizing existing systems.
  • The engineer will collaborate closely with small teams to deliver impactful features and contribute to technical decisions around architecture and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in GoLang is required, with the ability to design, build, and maintain backend services.
  • Proficiency in modern React and TypeScript is necessary, along with an understanding of current patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with various state management patterns and the ability to apply different approaches is essential.
  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including Lambda, ECS, RDS, and containerized applications (k8s) is required.
  • Database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis is necessary.
  • Candidates should have CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • A full-stack mindset with a willingness to work across the entire technology stack is expected.

Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $185,000 a year, depending on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated ability during the interview process.
