This position is for a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Kalepa, located in New York, NY, and is a remote opportunity.
The role involves joining a high-performing global engineering team to design, build, and optimize systems that support AI-driven decision-making in a trillion-dollar industry.
It is a greenfield opportunity where the engineer's work will have a direct and visible impact from day one.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining full-stack solutions, from front-end architecture to backend API development.
The engineer will work with modern frameworks, preferably React/Redux, to create user-friendly interfaces.
The role requires designing and optimizing backend systems using Python3, with experience in Java, C++, or C# also considered.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to integrate NLP, large-scale data pipelines, and machine learning models into the product.
The engineer will leverage AWS serverless technologies, asynchronous workflows, and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
Contributions to code reviews, architecture discussions, and system design are expected to ensure scalability and maintainability.
Tools such as Docker, Git/GitHub, Flask, NumPy, and Pandas will be used to deliver high-quality, production-ready code.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack development.
Strong skills in design, debugging, and problem-solving are required.
Proven experience with front-end frameworks, with a preference for React/Redux, is necessary.
Solid backend development experience, including API design and implementation, is essential.
Expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language, preferably Python3, is required.
Experience with AWS, serverless architectures, and asynchronous workflows is necessary.
Knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, is required.
Familiarity with tools such as Docker, Flask, Git/GitHub, NumPy, and Pandas is expected.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
