Remote Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Description:

• Engineer Up is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with approximately 5 to 7 years of experience.
• The position is fully remote, but applicants must be based in Mexico City and possess superior English speaking skills.
• The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full stack applications.
• Frontend experience must include React, while backend experience should include Java, Python, .NET, or other languages.
• Responsibilities include participating in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and system design.
• The engineer will collaborate with leadership and senior team members to conceptualize new features.
• Applications must be optimized for maximum speed and scalability, adhering to security and data protection standards.
• Staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends is essential.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Java (or another backend language), Spring/Spring Boot, MySQL, and JavaScript/React is required.
• Experience with React is mandatory, and familiarity with Next.js is highly recommended.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, specifically MySQL, and the ability to craft stored procedures is necessary.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS is required.
• A proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, is essential.
• Experience with continuous integration is necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in full stack development is necessary.
• The candidate must demonstrate the ability to build complex web applications and possess strong organizational and project management skills.
• Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, is required.
• Knowledge of DevOps and automated testing is a plus.
