  • The application tier is primarily built in TypeScript, running in Kubernetes, and is backed by PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Memgraph.
  • The data ingest tier operates on Spark, processing terabytes of data from hundreds of sources.
  • The platform supports a large-scale knowledge graph sourced from millions of records across over 200 countries and 30 languages.
  • Responsibilities include taking ownership of complex features, architecting and implementing scalable new features, writing and maintaining complex SQL queries, collaborating with the product team, leading code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and optimizing database systems.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience solving complex technical problems.
  • A history of developing large web applications and REST APIs is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in TypeScript is necessary.
  • Extensive experience with data modeling and optimizing complex database queries against systems such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and/or Elasticsearch is essential.
  • Proven expertise in system architecture and performance optimization for large-scale systems is required.
  • Strong familiarity with writing unit and integration tests, as well as knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes, is necessary.
