Remote Senior Full Stack WordPress Engineer

Description:

• Kanopi Studios is seeking a Senior Full Stack WordPress Engineer to join their fully distributed team in the US and Canada.
• The role involves delivering outstanding digital experiences through hands-on development and collaboration on various projects.
• Responsibilities include technical custom integrations, strategic improvements on existing sites, and ensuring high standards of quality.
• Candidates must understand clients' business goals, identify issues, research solutions, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• The position requires crafting custom front- or back-end solutions in WordPress, building and configuring WordPress sites, and developing native Gutenberg blocks using React.
• Engineers will perform end-to-end responsibilities for complex projects, contribute to common code libraries, write tests, and mentor new engineers.
• This is a full-time remote position with a salary range of $81,000.00 - $117,400.00, depending on experience and geographic location.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of related WordPress experience and have worked in an agency environment, preferably across multiple time zones.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, debugging skills, and knowledge of modern development workflows are essential.
• A BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
• Familiarity with Next.js or Vue is a plus.
• Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of industry trends and modern web standards and technologies.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
