Remote (Senior) Fullstack Engineer - New Platform (m/f/x) (onsite / remote in Germany)

Description:

• Shape the future of Scalable’s new fully vertically integrated investment platform.
• Work as a Fullstack Engineer in a cross-functional product team to develop scalable, secure, and user-friendly financial products.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and fellow engineers to build robust backend services and responsive UIs using Kotlin, Spring Boot, and React with TypeScript.
• Emphasize ownership, clean architecture, testing, and continuous delivery in the engineering culture.
• Empowered to shape the technical direction of the team and impact technical architecture and internal tooling experience.
• Work with highly motivated software engineers and academics to implement change in the financial industry.
• Participate in modern software development practices including agile methodologies, continuous integration and deployment, test automation, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code while treating security as a priority.
• Bring products to production and reveal real business value.
• Improve engineering excellence within the team.

Requirements:

• A university degree in a relevant field of study (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or comparable practical experience is required.
• Previous frontend work experience with technologies such as Typescript, React, NextJs, Cypress, WebPack, Material Design, and Express is necessary.
• Significant work experience with backend technologies including Java/Kotlin, JWT, Docker, Spring, AWS, Git, Docker, GraphQL, and RESTful API is essential.
• A passion for well-architected, testable, and documented code along with an agile mindset is expected.
• Strong analytical thinking skills in both technical and product domains are required.
• Experience in complex software projects with end-to-end ownership and building Microservices is necessary.
• Practical experience in AWS or another cloud provider is required.
• Good communication skills that are clear, open, and concise, with professional proficiency in English are essential.
• Previous DevOps experience is a significant advantage.
• A background in the financial industry and financial software product development is also advantageous.
