  • The Senior Healthcare Data Analyst will be involved in programming, data mining, and analysis of healthcare data with an emphasis on medical economics, clinical, and financial reporting.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare data analysis and advanced proficiency in SAS to support data-driven decision-making to improve health outcomes.
  • Responsibilities include translating complex healthcare data into actionable insights, performing data manipulations and statistical analysis to identify trends, and developing dashboards and reports to communicate findings.
  • The role also involves conducting analysis to support Shared Savings and other key improvement programs, assisting with the design and maintenance of the Analytic DataMart, and working with clinical and IT teams to operationalize analytic innovations.
  • The position supports the development and evaluation of value-based care models and strategies for safety net providers.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, economics, statistics, public health, or a comparable program with a quantitative emphasis is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional SAS experience, including data step programming, PROC SQL, macros, and statistical procedures, is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of medical claims, pharmacy, eligibility, provider, and clinical data is preferred, particularly in a managed care, Medicaid, Medicare, or health plan setting.
  • A strong understanding of healthcare quality measures, risk adjustment, and value-based payment models is necessary.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work independently on multiple projects while leveraging strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and Microsoft Excel are required.
  • Familiarity with other data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
