  • The Senior Information Security Engineer will be part of Experian's Health Team Technology Team, focusing on the security aspects of the application portfolio.
  • This position is remote and reports to the Sr. Director, Product Security within the Product Security team.
  • The team is responsible for the security of Experian's Health products, including architecture and design, vulnerability remediation, and special security-related projects.
  • The role involves supporting security governance, risk, and compliance activities by working through various corporate systems and procedures.
  • The engineer will collaborate closely with multiple Business Unit (BU) Technology Leaders to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Health BU's applications and supporting infrastructure.
  • Primary responsibilities include interpreting and implementing corporate security and compliance requirements, conducting risk and security assessments, collaborating with corporate groups, leading vulnerability research and remediation planning, and monitoring application security status and training gaps.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in security, risk, and compliance processes and certifications such as HIPAA, SOC2, PSA, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Ability to communicate security processes to company partners and select third parties, including internal and external auditors.
  • Experience in leading and managing important projects related to security, risk, and compliance for the Health BU.
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications such as Security+ (CompTIA), ISSMP, or SSCP are important.
  • Familiarity with NIST security and other industry standards like ISO27001 and ITIL.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical subjects to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to adjust communication based on audience diversity and strong information analysis skills.
  • Experience with reporting tools, cloud environments, security reporting, vulnerability remediation and management, and security best practices.
  • A technical background in security, network, and/or application infrastructure is preferred.
