• The Senior Infrastructure & Platform Engineer will architect and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers Astra's financial platform, ensuring reliable scaling and rapid development and deployment.
• Responsibilities include owning the core infrastructure, managing GCP resources, CI/CD pipelines, and designing infrastructure for complex financial transactions and regulatory compliance.
• The role involves creating self-service tools for developers, improving deployment workflows, defining infrastructure best practices, collaborating with backend engineers, and contributing to monitoring and reliability tooling.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering is required.
• Candidates must possess a systems thinking mindset to understand the impact of infrastructure decisions on the entire platform.
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP, using Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is necessary.
• Familiarity with modular microservices architecture and distributed systems is required.
• A strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments is essential.
• Candidates should have a solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and service deployment strategies.
• Proficiency in writing automation and tooling in languages such as Python, Javascript, Go, or Bash is required.
• A proactive mindset is necessary, with a focus on improving systems and enabling others.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, while a Master's degree is highly preferred.
