The role involves researching, developing, and deploying AI-based solutions to automate content moderation and review of Canva’s content.
You will work with diverse stakeholders to guide the technical vision and be responsible for breaking down and delivering large projects.
The position requires designing, developing, and deploying solutions while engaging in hands-on software development, collaborating closely with leads, designers, and product managers.
You will foster an impactful and healthy team culture through a robust code review culture, knowledge sharing, design showcases, and process improvements.
Promoting a safe and healthy culture with a focus on collaboration and open communication is essential, as well as advocating for engineering needs to non-technical stakeholders within the group.
Staying updated on industry trends and best practices to innovate and improve the domain owned by the team is a key responsibility.
Optionally, you may coach members of your Machine Learning team and assist them in navigating technical problems.
Requirements:
You must have at least 5 years of industry experience in a machine learning engineering role within a Product/SaaS company.
Prior experience in understanding text, image, video, and audio is highly desirable.
Experience working cross-functionally with Product Managers and other business functions outside of engineering is required.
You should have experience proposing automation initiatives with humans-in-the-loop and successfully seeing them through from start to finish.
