• H2O.ai is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their team in Australia, with the position based in Sri Lanka.
• The role involves working with technical teams on customer projects and collaborating with H2O's internal teams.
• Responsibilities include delivering technical services, advising on machine learning solutions, integrating products with customer data, and ensuring model performance and scalability.
• The engineer will also work on Generative AI tools and applications, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering, data science, statistics, or a related field is required.
• Experience in building data pipelines and ETL data sets, preferably with big data technologies.
• Proficiency in big data tools like Hadoop and Spark, and strong SQL skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and experience with the Spark/Kafka and Hadoop ecosystem is required.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data science, with additional skills in Java, Bash scripting, Scala, or Go being a plus.
• Experience in writing REST APIs using microservices frameworks in Python or Java is essential.
• Familiarity with building and deploying AI applications and dockerization of services is required.
• Experience in data visualization and model monitoring tools is preferred.
• Understanding of various machine learning techniques and advanced statistical concepts is necessary.
• Experience in a customer-facing environment and excellent communication skills in English are required.
