The role involves designing, building, evaluating, and shipping ML solutions for safety in Spotify’s personalization products.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including user research, design, data science, product management, and engineering, is essential to build new product features.
Prototyping new approaches and productionizing solutions at scale for hundreds of millions of active users is a key responsibility.
The position promotes and role-models best practices of ML systems development, testing, and evaluation within the team and the organization.
The candidate will be part of an active group of machine learning practitioners in New York and across Spotify.
Requirements:
The candidate must be an experienced ML practitioner motivated to work on complex real-world problems in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
A strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and/or generative AI is required, with experience in applying theory to develop real-world applications.
Hands-on expertise in implementing end-to-end production ML systems at scale in Java, Scala, Python, or similar languages is necessary.
Experience with frameworks such as Pytorch, TensorFlow, and Scikit-learn is a strong plus.
The candidate should have experience designing end-to-end tech specs and modular architectures for ML frameworks in collaboration with product teams.
Experience with large scale, distributed data processing frameworks/tools like Apache Beam, Apache Spark, and cloud platforms like GCP or AWS is required.
Benefits:
The United States base salary range for this position is $176,166 - $251,666 plus equity.
Benefits include health insurance, six months of paid parental leave, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
A monthly meal allowance is provided, along with 23 paid days off and 13 paid flexible holidays.
Paid sick leave is also included in the benefits package.
